I loved camp.
Camp Kahdalea in Brevard, North Carolina holds a special place in my heart. I cannot wait for my daughter to experience the joy of companionship and natural beauty of the camp nestled in the Pisgah National Forest!
One of my favorite memories is sitting on my bunk talking and laughing with my cabin mates, braiding my rope bracelet. We’d safety pin one end of the bracelet to the blanket and sit and braid tons of bracelets and anklets with so many color variations.
Lately it seems that the rope bracelets have made a mini resurgence. And while they inspire nostalgia, they do not really mesh with the adult me.
However, I recently found a rope bracelet that allows me to straddle both worlds.
The bright green is kicky and carefree but the sleek cord shape and chunky hardware says sophistication. I can wear this bracelet out and about on the weekends as a fun reminder that the joy of childhood stays with us.
