The Talbots sale.
I grew up with Talbots as a household name. I just never dreamed it would be a second generation household name.
I mean, seriously. The Talbots of old did not exactly scream cutting edge style.
But lately they have kicked things up a notch. Shaken up their core shopper demographics. So I do like to troll the site and wait for the sale.
The inevitable sale. It feels like they tend to put stuff on sale a lot and rather speedily after debuting it too. So here are a few key pieces that I think are worth snagging during the current Talbots sale—-
These sparkly tops are well made and the perfect deep, rich colors for peeking out under winter blazers and cardigans.
Sequin Tank (Baccara Rose) – Talbots $47

The little black dress of your 30’s and 40’s should walk, talk, and do a mean soft shoe. This LBD hits all the requisites — tailored, sexy, transitional for day and night.

And when you are in the mood for an evening a bit more intoxicating than what the little black dress has to offer…

A basic pencil skirt that hits at the knee. And you wonder how the women on Mad Men keep the men in line? Shimmy in to this oh so flattering silhouette!
LOVE the new and improved Talbots, especially since their shoes come in narrow, a rare thing these days! Have you seen the new winter/holiday catalog??? It is fabulous and chock full o’ things I can’t wear (yet).
