I spent part of my childhood growing up in Washington, DC. Met the love of my life (LOML) in Washington, DC. Held jobs that were signature Washington, DC. My daughter was born in Washington, DC.
And I still get giddy when I get to do something you can only do in Washington, DC.
Thanks to the British Embassy who invited LOML and said LOML who finnagled a plus one – I attended Prime Minister Cameron’s welcoming ceremony on the South Lawn of the White House.
We saw Bo.
I was a mere distance from my girl crush Hillary. We were in the mosh pit area for the Prime Minister and President’s speeches.
And we met Lord and Lady Grantham. Yep, that pretty much made my entire week. Hanging with Elizabeth McGovern and Hugh Bonneville. On the South Lawn.
*silent squeal of excitement!!!* *silent squeal of excitement!!!*
So I wore the most DC suit I own.
