I am one of the luckiest little sisters in the world — not only do I have an awesome, supportive, chic, fun, doting big sister — but she lives nearby!
We have regular what I refer to as “sister bonding nights”. They usually follow one of three templates:
– dinner and gabbing in the bar at Morton’s with the exact same menu every single time (split a beefsteak tomato and blue cheese salad, lump crabmeat cocktail, and chocolate Godiva cake);
– going to the movies where we eat popcorn for dinner and gab as much as we can before the movie starts and inevitably cry at the movie (sis has actually been clocked at a significant tear up during a preview!!);
– shopping and gabbing often with our favorite personal shopper at Macy’s Metro Center, Jody Bergeron, Manager of Macy’s by Appointment.
This particular night was a Morton’s dinner and gab with a twist – we sat outside on the terrace overlooking Connecticut Avenue and enjoyed the first tendrils of spring!
PS – forgive the pix, it was at the end of my day!
