In a truly bizarre turn of events my September rivals that of any full time socialite. I have no idea who this person is with a full dance card this month, especially since I am a huge proponent of staying in. But I do plan to revel in this fleeting month of revelry and playing peacock and thus you will see more than my typical number of What I Wore posts.
This week was the District Sample Sale, an all-volunteer organization with 100% of profits donated this year to the Sitar Arts Center. The Sitar Arts Center fosters personal and artistic growth through the visual, performing and digital arts, offering after-school, weekend and summer classes to more than 800 children and youth each year, 80% of whom come from low-income households.
I attended my very first District Sample Sale earlier this week with my big sis. I realize I am a bit late to this game but I still had a ton of fun! I arrived in Uber style, was fitted with my gold VIP bracelet and descended in to the fray that was the DSS hosted in the old Filene’s Basement at Mazza Gallerie.
Top: Piperlime (spring purchase); Skirt: Asos (spring purchase); Shoes: Zara
A few hours later I emerged with a divine cobalt blue DVF blouse, a sensous olive silk DVF blouse, an exquisitely tailored navy DVF blazer and a fun Rachel Roy shift dress that will pair brilliantly with my riding boots this fall and winter. Don’t worry, you will definitely get to see each piece in a future WIW post!!

With a very generous VIP swag bag and our exciting purchases in hand, big sis and I headed off to Cactus Cantina to restore our electrolytes with chips and guac!!
