What I Wore – Subtle Transition Edition

I talk a big game about the reality of transitioning an outfit from the professional setting to after work events. So I thought I would share my recent attempt – it was all about subtle changes. I’ll let you decide if the transition was lost in subtlety or if it was just right. Goldilocks…where are you when I need you?!

Blouse: Olive Diane von Furstenberg silk blouse (#1 of my District Sample Sale purchases!!!); Trousers: Banana Republic tab front (old); Shoes: Nine West black pointy toe pumps.

As you may glimpse in this photo, the DVF blouse has a deep vneck that is minimilized when the unique clasp is engaged, thus making it work appropriate.

Now you can see the that I have disengaged the neck clasp thus adding some more vavoom appropriate for dinner at Oyamel and a performance at the Woolly Mammoth Theater.

I added this structured clutch in a punchy lime that played off the green family shade of the DVF blouse. The diamante frog adds a bit of fun.

I changed shoes to these sparkly Steve Madden cut-out pumps to add the evening look all the way down to my toes!
