For someone who does not consider herself preppy at all, J.Crew is still, hand-down, my favorite store. It’s too spendy for non-work clothes for my budget (esp considering we live on a mountain farm now and everything gets thrashed), but work pieces are always worth it. The quality is so dependable. I still regularly wear pieces I got there 10 years ago. Could also be all those great long inseams…that goes a long way in my book!
By the way, I’m sure you are already familiar with Bogs, the boots made here in PDX — best rain/work boots ever and super stylish. Can we get an amen?
