Being a style blogger has been an interesting journey.
I have pretty much been writing to my known audience. As time has gone by I have begun to notice an uptick in my readership – folks I don’t know. So I started to develop posts for a wider audience.
It is a bit unsettling to realize that people you don’t know are listening to what you say and perhaps taking your advice. I hope I am living up to the hype.
So I am very happy that I am not alone – Washington, DC has a great group CapFABB that supports local style bloggers.
Last night I attended my first CapFABB event.
CapFABB partnered with Macy’s Metro Center to debut their new Impulse Department – think Nordstrom‘s t.b.d. department but a wee bit more affordable.
Rachel by Rachel Roy, Lucky Brand, Kensie, Joe’s, bar III, BCBG Max Azria, and more.
Fizzy drinks, manicures and a great presentation on the spring trends on a budget by Zoey Washington founder of LittleBird.
I met a new blogger friend (those of you who well know my introvert self, will be pleased!). Check out That Carmen. We have the same J. Crew leopard print cell phone case so I can vouch that she’s cool.
I picked up some great tips which I’ll share in the coming weeks. But, here is a hint – anything goes. I swear my little decades old style perspective is rolling all over the place!
I also found a new brand to love – bar III – and picked up this amazing spring/summer night out ensemble. Remember, mini skirts are not the only answer to warm weather sexy.
