It’s Still Winter Somewhere

I have a friend who recently moved to a very northern climate from a mild climate. Among the many things to which she is acclimating is the weather, and her regular moisturizer is not cutting it.

I did some hunting and pecking and pulled together some new finds and a tested and adored option. I am also being cognizant of price point since the season will change soon…hopefully…eventually. Hang in there!

So here are some options for my intrepid friend with the sensitive skin and the 16 degree weather!

1) Josie Maran Argan Oil – I kid you not. Adding oil to your face is okay despite what we have feared since our first blemish appeared in 6th grade. I swear, SWEAR by this stuff in the winter. It is perfect for sensitive skin and is believed to actually help with acne problems.

2) Yes to Carrots Rich Moisture Day Cream – I kept hearing about this skincare line but the name seemed a bit wackadoo with yes to this fruit or that vegetable so I ignored it. Shame on me. This natural product based line of skincare products is quite good and effective. I am a convert after trying the Yes to Blueberries Brightening Facial Towlettes and  Yes to Blueberries Age Refresh Eye Firming Treatment.

3) Ole Henriksen Truth Creme Vitamin C Advanced Hydration – It is not just Danish pride that makes me recommend this product, I have used Ole Henriksen products since college. The Truth Serum may just be the one skincare product I will never, ever be without. This moisturizer is rich and hydrating without the heaviness that is a danger to breakout prone skin.
