Well, it has been a week since I’ve returned to this endeavor and boy, am I having fun. How are you guys reacting to my posts? Anything you want to see? Any feedback on what I’ve posted so far? I’d love to know!
Today also means it is my favorite post day!
This will, at first, sound like the silliest contraption ever on which to spend money. It is a giant ring on which you attach your keys. Not exactly chic or unique. (My daughter says that mine looks like a pool diving toy.) Useful? Oh yeah. The O-venture key ring is just a simple ring – leather, silicone, etc. – large enough to fit over your hand and easy to spot in a crowded purse or carry on bag. I love that I can slide it on my wrist and walk the dog or carry all the grocery bags in the house – look ma, no hands!
I just cannot do spray tans. Maybe it’s because I have the patience of a 5 year-old and don’t let it settle in. Maybe I’m lackadaisical about exfoliation thus rendering my spray tan more of a dalmation look. Instead I am a gradual tan lotion kind of person. It is forgiving to my lack of focus and it won’t stain my clothes. I’ve always used Jergens so I am looking forward to trying the new Jergens Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer +Firming.
Memorial Day Weekend is right around the corner, time to kick off summer reading season. You can start with Our Shoes, Our Selves: 40 Women, 40 Stories, 40 Pairs of Shoes. Shoes are a wonderful insight to the person. For a great deal of my life, my fashion story was a pair of sleek heels. For my best friend, sneakers are her signature shoe story – she is the fittest person I know both physically and mentally. What is your shoe story?
Loved discovering Ellos. Their full range of sizes are on trend, stylish and abso-positively affordable. You can also find Ellos on Amazon in case you have a fashion emergency that needs remedying in 24 hours!
We have always read to our daughter every night before bed. From the Narnia Chronicles to Harry Potter to Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, it is a beloved ritual. Now that she is older, it is fun to read with her – my sister, my daughter and I have even formed a little book club! This weekend maybe you can bond over your favorite book by cooking a meal from the book! I’m making Harriet the Spy’s tomato sandwiches!
