I’m not a big cosmetics person.
Aside from a lifelong tick of wanting/needing to wear mascara every day, I do not wear cosmetics consistently.
Skincare – mildly obsessed. But cosmetics, meh.
I have a bare minimum regimen often spiced up with eyeliner.
But I’m very picky about my eyeliner.
It needs to really glide on.
It needs to be hand sharpened with a sharpener – the mechanical sticks are too delicate and snap on the regular for me.
It needs to stay all day, no melting!
AND
Wash off easily at night.
Unicorn?
Or…NYX Epic Wear Waterproof Eyeliner Stick.
NYX Epic Wear Waterproof Eyeliner Stick in the color I wear – All Time Olive
This has been my go-to eyeliner for a couple of years now.
I 100% recommend!!
So I thought I would check out some of NYX’s other offerings.
I have my mascara and blush dialed in so I decided to try their lip gloss.
I have always felt like my lips are too thin for true lipstick so I tend more toward tinted glosses.
I tried NYX Buttergloss in Sugar High.
I selected this color because it reminded me of Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk shade.
Because I don’t wear lip color regularly, I am not ready to invest in the cost of Charlotte Tilbury, so I was excited
to find this dupe.
NYX Butter Gloss Non-Sticky Lip Gloss
So here are my thoughts —-
Non-sticky? You betcha!!!
I am not a fan of wind or even light breezes and every lipgloss I have ever worn (including the Lancome holy grail) has been
a wispy hair magnet. Blech.
But NYX Butter Gloss is truly not sticky!
It also is not long lasting.
Even with my tried and true trick of prepping my lips with a light layer of foundation, Butter Gloss performed a disappearing act.
Phooey.
I will keep trying other pieces from this brand – and obviously keep using the eye pencil! – and keep you posted on my research.
And if anyone has an item from this line they just love and think I should try, drop it in the comments!
