I may have shared with you before that I am not a beauty product junkie. I realize this may sound odd coming from someone who loves clothes, spas, and has usurped most of the love of my life’s bathroom space with an arsenal of beauty products.

I am really just an easy mark for nifty packaging and the phrase ‘gift with purchase’.

Throw in a goody bag and I’ll max out my credit card.

Only to find me walking out the door to work/party/vacation with the bare minimum and my skin and hair looking rather ‘eh.

I have recently discovered three products that may just make me care a bit more about the finishing touches of my ensemble.

Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil – Sephora $32 for 6oz

Oil. Not kidding. My skin does not need more oil…at least that is what I thought until I started washing my face with this. Love it – it really cleans all the makeup and daily gunk out of my pores. Plus I can use it with my Clarisonic Mia face brush!

Murad Acne & Wrinkle Reducer – Sephora $58 for 2oz

I bought it for my lovely onset of adult acne. Yep. Fun times. So guess what? It works! And the wrinkle reducing is the silver lining to this little thunder cloud. Take that aging! KAPOW! And that, mother nature’s cruel joke! ZAP!

Daily Microfoliant – Dermalogica $50

I swear I heard a chorus of angels singing after I used this product. I received a generous sample as part of my February Birchbox subscription and decided to try it out of desperation. I say desperation because this exfoliant is a soft powder to be mixed with water into a deceptively smooth paste in the palm of your hand. Yeah, a bit high maintenance for my liking. Ahem. First time ever that I actually saw a product brighten my skin. I am obsessed with this exfoliant!!! I’d buy stock in Dermalogica if I were y’all.
