I have been atrocious to my skin this summer.
I have been very good about sunscreen on face and neck at all times. I have not been very good about exfoliating, moisturizing and make up removal.
Mon dieu!
My skin finally rebelled and presented me with feisty little bumps along my hair line and jaw line. Not to mention turning the other cheek…in to sandpaper.
It was time to provide some supercharged TLC.
First, I cleansed with my Clarisonic Mia3 Sonic Cleansing System and Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser. I love that this cleanser leaves zero residue on your skin and the smell makes you feel luxuriously pampered!
Second, I spread on a conservative layer of GLAMGLOW Powermud Dualcleanse Treatment – which is a decidedly more pleasant experience than its Youthmud counterpart! After leaving the mask on for approximately half the recommended time – I was a wee bit worried about further drying out my skin – I massaged the mask into a lovely oil texture and rinsed it off.
Third, I slathered on Philosophy’s Hope in a Jar Night Moisturizer and let it sit for a few hours before bed and through the night. This is a thick, intensive creamy moisturizer. I recommend only using a conservative amount under normal circumstances. But I was having a desperate time and needed to take desperate measures – I needed an intense moisturizing experience that would not irritate my skin. So I slathered.
Okay, so even I was / am amazed at my skin when I cleansed it the next morning to remove the night moisturizer – See step 1 re: cleansing.
Literally, soft as baby’s bottom. Good, even skin tone. And plump!
I’ll definitely be partaking of this little TLC skin care routine again!!
