Rosy Cheeks

Winter brings its own brand of aesthetic to our skin. That flushed pink hue on our cheeks may be free – no Mac blush needed. But at the expense of chapped, dry, itchy skin, I’d rather pay the price in dollars, thank you very much.

And while Norman Rockwell makes rosy cheeks look so charming, we know the reality is very, very different.

So what do I do?

Not much.

Seriously.

1. Cleanse with Olay Total Effects Nourishing Cream Cleanser using my Clarisonic Brush. Remember to rinse with lukewarm water – hot water is a dehydrator in the winter. This applies to showers too – as tempting as it may be on a chilly winter morning to crank that hot water until the bathroom is a turkish steam room, fight the temptation!

Any Drugstore – Approximately $8.99

Clarisonic Mia3 – Sephora $199

2. Post-cleanse Morning – I use Olay Regenerist Regenerating Serum on both my face and neck. I swear I have tried moisturizers and serums from every price point – every. price. point. This serum is so rich and nourishing I don’t need / use moisturizer. Now in harsher climates you may need / want to though depending on your skin type.

Any Drugstore – Approximately $22.99

2. Post-cleanse Evening – I use Laneige Water Sleeping Mask on face and neck. Fun fact = “la neige” is french for “snow”. Coincidence? I think not!
